Over 300 Moldovan producers showcase goods at Moldexpo fair

More than 300 domestic producers opened the second edition of Moldova's national trade exhibition on Friday at the Moldexpo exhibition center in Chișinău, organizers said.

Cultural showcases and national records

The three-day "Domestic Product" fair brings together businesses and craftspeople from across the country's districts, featuring product tastings, culinary demonstrations, and cultural performances aimed at promoting local manufacturing.

On opening day, organizers unveiled the country's largest hand-woven carpet, produced by traditional textile artisans from the western district of Ungheni.

On Saturday, organizers plan to set an officially certified national record for the largest traditional sour cherry pastry (plăcintă), which will be offered to visitors following formal verification. The event schedule also includes the "Top Wineries 2026" gala, celebrating the country's flagship wine sector, alongside presentations highlighting emerging Moldovan consumer brands.
