Young people will benefit from paid internship programs in the public sector
Young people, aged between 18 and 29, will benefit from paid programs for carrying out internships in the public sector, according to a draft law voted yesterday during the Parliament session. Thus, young people will be motivated to stay in the country and work in public institutions, where there is a lack of labor force, says the deputy of the Action and Solidarity Party, Ana Calinici.
"We believe that the internships will provide young people with valuable opportunities to make a transition from studies to work and are a very good method of getting professional experience, building a professional network, understanding the public system and developing the practical skills of young people", said deputy Ana Calinici, one of the authors of the legislative initiative.
The internship program will run for six consecutive months. During this period, the trainees will benefit from a scholarship worth three thousand lei for 160 hours per month. The number of places for internships will be established annually by the public authorities.
