Euronews Romania TV station will open an affiliate in the Republic of Moldova
Euronews Romania will open an affiliate in the Republic of Moldova this autumn. This was announced by the rector of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Mihnea Costoiu, during a program on Radio Romania News.
He added that the decision is part of the university's strategy, which has assumed the role of mediator and opinion maker at national and European level.
"Euronews Romania is a television channel developed in partnership with Euronews World, under the auspices of the European Commission for Romania. Politehnica Bucharest has the license for Euronews Romania, but also for Euronews the Republic of Moldova, and we will develop the affiliate in the Republic of Moldova for Euronews in the next period, taking into account the extraordinary pressure that exists in the Republic of Moldova and we want to have a pro-European voice in this part of the world as well. It is part of the university's strategy, which has assumed the role of mediator, so to speak, on the one hand, and on the other hand, as a trainer at the national and European level," said the rector.
The Euronews Republic of Moldova station is to be launched by the fall of this year.
" We want Euronews Moldova to be on air in the fall, at the latest in the fall, to have a studio there, with a correspondent and dedicated shows," added Mihnea Costoiu.
We remind that Radio Romania has been present for over 10 years on the media market in the Republic of Moldova, with the station Radio Romania Chisinau.
