The right bank of the Nistru resumed gas consumption from Gazprom

After an interruption of three months or so, the Republic of Moldova, on the right bank of the Nistru, resumed the import and consumption of gas from Gazprom in March 2023. We are talking about volumes of up to 800,000 cubic meters of gas per day, Vadim Ceban, the president of the board of directors of Moldovagaz, told Mold-Street.com.

Until the beginning of March, the entire volume of 5.7 million cubic meters of methane per day, delivered by Gazprom, arrived in the Transnistrian region, i.e. in Moldova on the banks of the Nistru.

"Now the region no longer consumes the entire volume of gas delivered by Gazprom, namely up to 800,000 cubic meters of gas per day, we take and deliver it to consumers," said Vadim Ceban.

The price of methane delivered by Gazprom is over one thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters and is comparable to that delivered by Energocom.

We remind you that from the beginning of December 2022, following a contract signed by the main supplier Energocom and Moldgres, the entire volume of gas delivered by Gazprom goes to the transnistrian region.

Instead, Moldgres provides about 50% of the energy consumption of the Republic of Moldova at a price of 73 dollars for one MWh.
