"I have never said that electricity tariffs must decrease, immediately. Tariffs are under the competence of the National Energy Regulatory Agency and it must intervene. We will do our best to negotiate, discuss with the Transnistrian side a better contract, with a more favorable price for our electricity consumers, in order to reduce tariffs, but that is the competence of ANRE ", declared Victor Parlicov.

We remind you that from the beginning of December 2022, as a result of a contract signed by the main supplier Energocom and the Cuciurgan Plant, the entire volume of gas delivered by Gazprom is supplied to the Transnistrian region. Instead, the Cuciurgan Power Plant provides about 50 percent of the energy consumption of the Republic of Moldova at a price of 73 dollars for one megawatt/hour.

Currently, consumers served by Premier Energy pay 3 lei and 42 money for one kilowatt/hour, and those served by FEE Nord pay 3 lei and 84 money for one kilowatt/hour.
