"The Republic of Moldova will no longer be evaluated as an associated state of the EU, but as a candidate country that must implement a series of actions and reforms to join the European Union. This report, which is to be presented in the fall of the current year, will point out very clearly at which stage the Republic of Moldova is on this accession path and what are the main actions that must be taken to facilitate this path. Of course, another discussion will concern the opening of accession negotiations, an objective set by our authorities for December of the current year".

In the context of what was discussed, several recommendations and a Joint Declaration will be adopted.

Today, on the eve of the 13th meeting of the Republic of Moldova - European Union Parliamentary Association Committee, the co-chairs of this dialogue format, Mihai Popșoi and Siegfried Mureșan, will hold a press conference.
