Maia Sandu thanks Ilie Bolojan and wishes success to Romania's new Government
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, wished the Prime Minister of Romania, Luca Niculescu, and the new Government in Bucharest success, while also thanking Ilie Bolojan for their collaboration. The head of state reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova’s readiness to support Romania, emphasizing that it “can always count on us.”
In a message on X, Maia Sandu congratulated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu and his government team and wished them success.
"I wish Prime Minister Luca Niculescu and the new government of Romania every success," wrote the President of the Republic of Moldova.
Also, Maia Sandu thanked Ilie Bolojan for the two sides' collaboration, expressing her appreciation for the cooperative relationship with Romania.
"I thank Ilie Bolojan for the excellent collaboration", the head of state said.
Concluding her message, Maia Sandu reiterated the Republic of Moldova’s support for Romania, affirming that Bucharest can continue to count on Chișinău.
"Romania can always count on us," the President of Moldova said.
On Tuesday, October 20, the Parliament in Bucharest confirmed—with 280 votes—the Cabinet led by Luca Niculescu, bringing an end to five and a half months of an interim government. Among the key priorities of his mandate, Romania’s new Prime Minister has included continued support for the Republic of Moldova in its European integration process.
