When we switch to summer time and what it can do to your health
On the night of Saturday 25 March to Sunday 26 March, we will switch to summer time. The clocks will be moved forward one hour, so that 3:00 will become 4:00.
Because of the time change, Sunday will be the shortest day since 2023, at just 23 hours. The changeover to summer time takes place a week after the vernal equinox on 20 March, when day equals night.
The time change often has an impact on people's psyche and health, which needs some time to adjust. To ease the adjustment period, moderate exercise is recommended and it is important to maintain a sleep regime.
The changeover to summer time was first implemented in New Zealand in 1895. The Republic of Moldova adopted the practice in 1979.
