Trolleybus drivers will be checked more rigorously, announces the Regia Transport Electric Chisinau (RTEC), after yesterday a minor was fatally hit by a trolleybus on a street in the Ciocana sector.
Thus, RTEC will check the physical and psychological condition of the drivers, the drivers' files and all the incidents or complaints in which they were involved, the regular participation in the mandatory trainings regarding compliance with the Road Traffic Regulation and the strict compliance with the functional obligations.
The company also states that following these checks, all necessary measures will be taken, from disciplinary and/or financial sanctions to dismissals.
We remind you that on Friday, March 24, a 12-year-old minor died after being hit by a trolleybus. Everything happened on Mircea cel Bătrân boulevard in the municipality of Chisinau. Preliminarily, it was established that the minor was hit while crossing the street legally, on an undirected crossing for pedestrians.
