New departments to be set up within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development
The government approved a new structure and organizational chart within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. Thus, new departments responsible for energy and natural gas will be created, and the number of personnel within the energy division will increase at least twice, says Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu.
"In the energy field, within the ministry, there is only one energy direction, with 7 people. According to the new organizational chart, from 7 will increase to 17 people and three new departments will be created. Section "natural gas and petroleum products", "electricity and thermal energy", section "energy efficiency and renewable energy". If we are talking about regional development, the Department of "policies in the field of water supply and sanitation" is being created, explained the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu. Also, according to the official, in the institutional field the Public Policy Coordination and European Integration Directorate will be strengthened, the Road Infrastructure field has been separated into two directions: development and maintenance of the road network. Moreover, a new section dedicated to housing policies has been created in the field of construction, and the number of staff will increase in the field of transport.
