US and Ukraine react after Putin's announcement that Russia will deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus
The US authorities reacted to the statements of the leader of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, regarding the fact that Russia agreed with Belarus to station tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of this country. The US says it sees no indication "that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons," reports Rador.

In this context, the secretary of the Ukrainian security council, Oleksii Danilov, wrote on his Twitter page that the Kremlin took Belarus as a nuclear hostage, stating that the decision is a step towards the internal destabilization of the country.
We remind you that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian Federation will station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. According to him, such a measure would not violate nuclear non-proliferation agreements, stating that the United States has deployed nuclear weapons on the territory of European allies. Vladimir Putin said they agreed with Aleksandr Lukashenko to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus without violating the non-proliferation regime, and Russia will complete the construction of a tactical nuclear weapons silo in Belarus by July 1.
