President of the European Council Charles Michel to visit Moldova

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on Tuesday, 28 March, the European institution said in a press release. In Chisinau, the high European official will hold meetings with the top leadership of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the agenda published by the European Council, Charles Michel will meet Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu in Chisinau on 28 March. The official will hold a press conference starting at 12:50.

The President of the European Council is on an official visit to Romania today, 27 March. The European official's agenda in Bucharest includes meetings with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă.

Charles Michel last visited the Republic of Moldova last spring, before our country received the status of candidate country for EU membership.
