The signing of the contract with MGRES for the supply of electricity does not have any political conditionalities, Igor Grosu

The discussions with the alleged authorities from Tiraspol regarding the signing of the electricity supply contract from the Cuciurgan Power Plant concerned exclusively economic and commercial aspects, said the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.

The Parliament Speaker mentioned in a show from Vocea Bessarabiei that once transferred to the left bank, the gas delivered by Gazprom becomes the responsibility of Tiraspol, and the Republic of Moldova will not pay for this consumption. "There was no political conditionality, we remain firmly on our positions. There were economic, commercial discussions. All questions should be directed to those who consume the gas. We, the Republic of Moldova, the right bank, for all the gas we consumed, we paid in advance, at the end of the month. If there are any questions, there will be questions at MGRES, which consumes this gas. In general, the left bank does not pay anything. Gazprom closed its eyes for 30 years, if it decides to open them now, its their decision. We honored our bills", said Igor Grosu. We remind you that on Saturday, Energocom signed a contract with the Cuciurgan Power Plant regarding the delivery of electricity for the Republic of Moldova in a volume of over 50 percent for the month of December at a price of 73 dollars per MW. This is in exchange for the entire volume of natural gas of about 5.7 million cubic meters per day currently delivered to the Republic of Moldova by Gazprom, a decision that caused debates in society.
