Germany plans to increase military aid to Ukraine from 3 to 15 billion euros in the coming years, reports the German publication Der Spiegel, quoted by the BBC.

The source states that the Deputy State Secretary at the German Finance Ministry, Florian Tonkar, has asked the Budget Committee of the Bundestag to increase funding for budget items from which funds are allocated to help Ukraine.

According to these documents, in 2023, the amount of financial support will exceed 5.4 billion euros, instead of 2.2 billion euros allocated by Germany last year.

In addition, in the coming years, Berlin plans to allocate another 8.8 billion euros to "fulfill obligations" to Ukraine.
