More than 44 thousand vulnerable households in all districts of the Republic of Moldova receive financial aid directly from the EU

More than 44 thousand vulnerable households in all districts of the Republic of Moldova received direct financial aid from the EU, which allowed them to more easily overcome the energy crisis. The total value of the project implemented by the NGO “People in Need Moldova” is five million euros.

The project aims to increase resilience and social cohesion, said the EU Ambassador in Chisinau, Janis Mazeiks. "The aim was to increase the resilience and social cohesion of the vulnerable population in the energy crisis, so the burden on vulnerable groups was alleviated. And for us, it was a first experience of providing cash assistance to such a large number of households, a big challenge and we learned many valuable lessons that need to be repeated not only by the "people in need" but also by other organizations on how to target future science," said Janis Mazeiks.
