The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation offers 5.69 million francs to strengthen mental health services in the Republic of Moldova
5.69 million francs for the consolidation of mental health services in the Republic of Moldova will be provided by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation regarding the third phase of the Project "Support for the reform of mental health services in the Republic of Moldova (MENSANA)" was approved by the Government.
According to the Ministry of Health, it aims to increase the population's awareness of mental health issues and the support given to people in the recovery and inclusion process.
Currently, 40 Community Mental Health Centers operate in the districts and municipalities of the country.
