New obligations for foreign exchange offices. Rules approved by Parliament

Citizens wishing to exchange money at currency exchange offices for amounts exceeding 10 thousand lei will be required to present an identity document. The new rules were approved at the plenary session of Parliament.

The document also lays down new rules on operations with virtual currencies.

Thus, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be able to carry out activities with cryptocurrencies only through authorised financial institutions, up to a limit of 50 thousand lei per month.
