Additional funding for the repair of roads in the Republic of Moldova. EBRD offers a loan of 100 million euros

The Republic of Moldova will benefit from additional resources worth 100 million euros from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for road repair and construction in our country. The Secretary of State within the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Lilia Dabija, presented today in the plenary session of the Parliament the portions of the road to be repaired from the sources of the loan.

"First of all, we are talking about the Soroca-Arionesti-Otaci sector. It is a segment of over 40 km of road. The construction of the Vulcănești bypass road with a length of 8 km and the repair of the R 33 road, the section between Hîncești-Lăpușna, with a length of over 37 km. The full implementation of the Roads in Moldova IV project will have economic benefits on improving the state of the quality of the national road networks by reducing the costs of road transport", said Lilia Dabija. It should be noted that, in 2013, our country concluded a loan agreement with the EBRD, which provided for the granting of a loan of 150 million euros for the implementation of the "Road Rehabilitation in Moldova IV" project.
