Bogdan Aurescu discussed with his Armenian counterpart the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Republic of Moldova
The impact of the war started by the Russian Federation in Ukraine on the Republic of Moldova and the support offered by the European Union, implicitly by Romania, for overcoming the crises was one of the topics discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu, with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, who was in official visit to Bucharest. This was announced by the head of diplomacy in Romania, Bogdan Aurescu in a press conference.
"I highlighted the firm multidimensional support that Romania gave to Ukraine and continues to give. We also reviewed the situation in the Republic of Moldova and the impact that the war in Ukraine has on the neighboring state. Obviously, I presented the support that Romania gives to the Republic of Moldova".
Also, issues of common interest were addressed regarding the security situation in the extended Black Sea region, as well as EU-Armenia cooperation and the involvement of the European Union in the South Caucasus region, including through the Eastern Partnership, reads a press release from the Ministry Foreign Affairs of Romania.
