The Public Services Agency has put into circulation the new passport model
The new model of the Moldovan citizen's passport was presented on Wednesday by the director of the Public Services Agency, Mircea Eșanu, and the head of the ASP production centre, Gheorghe Tricolici.
The new passport contains 34 pages, and is distinguished by 45 high-performance security features. Major changes have been made to the most important and fraud-sensitive part of the passport blank - the page with the holder's identification data. This page, previously made of paper, will be replaced by a polycarbonate page, personalised by laser engraving.
The fee for the new passport remains unchanged at 650 lei within 20 working days.
The passport is issued to persons under 7 years of age for 4 years; 7 to 16 years of age - for 7 years, over 16 years - for 10 years.
