The main Polish airline will expand its activity in the Republic of Moldova
The Polish airline LOT will operate flights from Chisinau to Warsaw. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean, during a press conference.
*"I want to thank the LOT company for answering our call and finding the opportunity to expand its operations here in Chisinau. We are firmly convinced that we will have an even greater increase in the frequency of flights from Chisinau Airport, but also an increase in the diversity of flight destinations of the Chisinau company. Now that the Airport is back under state management, I am sure that we will be able to provide a much more attractive competitive environment for international companies, including LOT, to grow their business here in Chisinau. In the same way, we consider that the south-west of Ukraine is also important, but also for part of the business environment, citizens, but also officials, who go to or come from Ukraine", said Dorin Recean.
To begin with, the company will operate 13 flights per week between Warsaw and Chisinau.
The Polish company LOT Polish Airlines is one of the oldest airlines in the world, founded in 1929. Since 2003, it has been a member of the Star Alliance global airline alliance. In 2012, it was the first company in Europe to operate Boeing 787 flights. The company's headquarters are located in Warsaw, Poland.
