Traffic at the Moldovan-Romanian border will be streamlined during Easter holidays
During the Easter holidays, the customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Romania will act jointly to ensure the flow of traffic through the border crossing points. In this sense, an action plan was signed, which would allow the passage through the border points to be more efficient, in the event of an increased flow of means of transport entering and exiting the country.
Thus, for one month, until May 7, the two customs authorities will synchronize their activities by carrying out the operative exchange of information, they will allocate separate tracks for the redirection and acceleration of passenger traffic. They will also supplement the number of customs officials at the border crossings.
In order to prevent and to avoid blockages that could occur for technical reasons, measures will be taken to ensure the functionality of all control equipment within customs posts/offices.
