The Holy Light has reached the Republic of Moldova
The Haric Fire has arrived in the Republic of Moldova. It was brought to the Republic of Moldova by the representatives of the Metropolitanate of Chisinau and All Moldova and the Metropolitanate of Bessarabia. Later it will be distributed to priests and all Christians so that it can reach all holy places in the country.
Several faithful gathered in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral "Nativity of the Lord" to take the Holy Light.
Later, near midnight, people will go to the churches to sanctify the food prepared for the Easter meal. At the end of the liturgy, the traditional greeting "Christ is Risen" will take place, which will be used from the Lord's Resurrection until His Ascension, i.e. for 40 days. Response to "Christ is risen!" is "Truly He is risen!" And from Ascension to Pentecost, Christians greet each other with "Christ is risen!", "Truly He is risen!"
The Holy Light was lit on Saturday 15 April after a ritual lasting several hours at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
The Holy Fire is being brought to our country for the 21st consecutive year.
