The first Family Justice Centre will be opened in the Republic of Moldova
The Family Justice Centre will be opened in the Republic of Moldova with the support of the US Embassy in Chisinau. According to the American ambassador in our country, Kent Longsdon, the mission of the Centre will be to combat sexual and domestic violence as well as to provide support to victims who have experienced various forms of violence.
"The United States is not only talking the talk, but acting the walk! We are also providing financial assistance to the Family Justice Center that will open this summer. We are working with the government and civil society to combat sexual and domestic violence," said Kent Longsdon.
We would like to point out that the Family Justice Centre will be a subdivision of the General Inspectorate of Police, with continuous operation, where public and private institutions will delegate specialists to provide comprehensive assistance to victims of domestic and sexual violence. According to representatives of the Ministry of Interior, such an integrated institution will reduce the number of institutions and specialists with which victims have to interact during the justice process.
