New facilities for people without a job. What decision was voted by the Government
Increased subsidies for the unemployed to start a business, higher grants for vocational training courses and other facilities for people without a job are just some of the measures adopted by the government to solve the problems of the unemployed. The draft was prepared by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The project voted by the government provides for an increase in the subsidy for starting a business from 10 to 20 average wages per economy and a reduction in the unemployed person's own contribution from 50 to 20%. At the same time, the attractiveness of job creation and adaptation for people with special needs will be increased, said Felicia Bechtoltd, secretary of state at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
"Another change is the removal of barriers to accessing supported employment services for people with disabilities. At present, in order to benefit from supported employment services, the unemployed person with a disability must be registered with the National Employment Agency for six months and have a recommendation from the National Council for Determining Labour Capacity for supported employment. So these rules are barriers and we have excluded them with this bill," said Felicia Bechtoltd
At the same time, the scholarship has been increased from 15% to 35% of the average wage in the economy and the payment of accommodation and transport expenses has been excluded.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, at the end of last year there were more than 22,000 unemployed people in Moldova. The National Employment Agency states that there are currently more than 11 thousand job vacancies.
