Vadim Ceban: Moldovagaz has paid the interest of about 80 million lei on the loan from Energocom
Moldovagaz has paid the interest of about 80 million lei on the loan of over one billion lei taken from Energocom. The announcement was made by Moldovagaz Chairman of the Board of Directors Vadim Ceban.
This loan had to be paid by 1 May, according to the provision of the Commission for Exceptional Situations. Thus, by fully meeting the loan repayment obligations, the company regained its full rights over the pledged natural gas transmission networks, the Moldovagaz chief said.
In October 2022, Moldovagaz borrowed more than 1 billion lei from Energocom, pledging all movable assets that are part of the natural gas transmission network, as well as the entire share of Moldovatransgaz. On 12 April, the loan was returned to Energocom, and today, interest was paid on the loan.
