"The Republic of Moldova is stronger thanks to its friends". The head of state met with the foreign ministers of the "North-Baltic 8" countries
Moldovan President Maia Sandu met today with the foreign ministers of the "North-Baltic 8" (NB8) countries, saying that their visit to Chisinau is a strong signal of support for our country and our European path.
"We are grateful to each individual country for the good bilateral cooperation, but also within the EU. We welcome the recent launch of the EU Partnership Mission for Moldova in the context of the Common Security and Defence Policy, which will help us to strengthen the security sector," the head of state said.
Maia Sandu also praised the EU's decision to impose sanctions in record time on those who try to destabilise the situation in our country. "The Republic of Moldova is not alone, and it is stronger thanks to its friends," she stressed.
The meeting of the Nordic Baltic 8 format will take place in Chisinau on 27 and 28 April. At a joint press conference, the diplomats expressed their support for Moldova in the process of European integration and in overcoming the crises caused by Russian aggression in Ukraine.
