A former Russian prime minister claims Moscow was behind the Kremlin attack
The former prime minister of Vladimir Putin, Mihail Kasianov, said that he believes that yesterday's attempted attack on the Kremlin was a "staged operation", reports Hotnews.ro.

Speaking to Sky News, Kasianov said Russia had staged the attack to encourage more people to join the country's army.
"Putin needs this before Victory Day," the former Russian official said, referring to the annual anniversary of Russia's victory over the Nazis.
Kasianov left Russia last year and is now highly critical of the Kremlin's actions in Ukraine, although he once worked closely with Putin.
He said it was interesting that Moscow was willing to blame Ukraine for the alleged drone strike, even though it would be an admission that Ukrainian drones could reach the Kremlin.
Kasianov also warned that we should "expect something more" from Moscow in the coming days, such as another provocation. ISW expressed a similar opinion. The Russian government - which accuses Ukraine of wanting to assassinate Vladimir Putin - is the one that would have organized the drone attack over the Kremlin on Tuesday night, with "the intention of bringing the war before the Russian population and creating the conditions for a broader mobilization " in the country, against the background of the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive, consider the analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War.
Russia's claims that the US was behind a drone attack on the Kremlin are false, White House national security spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday, Reuters reports.
Kirby also told MSNBC that the United States does not encourage or allow Ukraine to attack outside its borders.
