Maia Sandu talked to Moldovans settled in Great Britain: I answered several questions about the European future of our country
President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Moldovans settled in Great Britain. The discussions focused on investment opportunities, business support programs, justice reform and the European future of the Republic of Moldova.
“We had a warm discussion with our citizens settled in the UK. I was impressed, as every time I meet our people who live outside the country, by their interest in the realities at home and by the emotions with which they talk about Moldova.
I answered several questions about investment opportunities and support programs for small and medium-sized businesses, about justice reform and efforts to fight corruption and, above all, about the European future of our country, a future that we are building together," wrote Maia Sandu on Facebook.
Also, the head of state urged those present to encourage their relatives to participate in the "European Moldova" assembly on May 21.
"A day when we will all say, together, what is our choice: a developed, free and European country, a welcoming and kind country for all its people", reads the message published by Maia Sandu also states.
We remind that President Maia Sandu participated, at the invitation of the British authorities, at the coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on Saturday, May 6.
