Head of the CNA, about the sources of party funding
Some sources of money for funding the "ȘOR" political party are apparently legal, and others illegal, stated the head of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), Iulian Rusu, during a program on Pro TV.
"There are many sources, they can also come from apparently legal activity, for example from dividends: an enterprise that has economic activity and had a profit at the end of the year. These financial resources are distributed among shareholders in the form of dividends, taxes are paid, they can be released in cash. They are divided among the shareholders and subsequently their destination turns into a mystery. Not to mention the illegal sources, such as cash crossings at the border, maybe in smaller amounts, but more often, or the use of cryptocurrency, as a resource transfer and later monetization," said Rusu.
Also, the head of the CNA claims that there is an interaction with other institutions in the field to prevent the phenomenon of illegal financing of parties. He also warned that in order to trace the sources, it is necessary to improve the border verification mechanism and to regulate cryptocurrency operations.
We remind you that the prosecutors are investigating the file of illegal financing of the "Sor" Political Party, and a referral filed by the Government regarding the verification of the constitutionality of the "Sor" faction is pending before the Constitutional Court.
