Moldovans working in Switzerland will benefit from pension and other social security benefits. The second round of negotiations regarding the conclusion of a Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Swiss Confederation takes place on May 23-25.
At the opening of the negotiations, the Secretary of State from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Corina Ajder, emphasized that the signing of the Agreement will establish a framework of guarantees in the field of social insurance for migrant workers from the two states, who carry out or have carried out a legal activity of work and currently reside in the territory of one of the contracting states.
We mention that the first round of negotiations on the Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Swiss Confederation took place in Bern, from November 28 to December 2, 2022.
The Republic of Moldova has so far concluded Social Security Agreements with 17 states, of which 14 are in force.
