In June, Energocom will procure 95% of its electricity needs from the Cuciurgan power plant

Energocom has extended its contract with the Cuciurgan power plant for the month of June, which will allow it to supply 95% of the electricity consumption of the right bank of the Dniester. Thus, next month it will purchase about 303 thousand Megawatt per hour.

The price remains that agreed at the end of March for a period of six months, namely $66 per megawatt hour. The rest of the electricity, especially for peak hours, will be purchased on the Romanian stock exchange OPCOM.

Energocom also notes that on 24 May, Ukraine suspended electricity exports to neighbouring countries. Since then the company has replaced the energy purchased from Ukrhidroenergo with energy purchased from OPCOM. Next month the Romanian company Nuclearelectrica continues to have maintenance works.
