Prime Minister Dorin Recean had a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev
The participants of the European Political Community Summit arrive in our country, and on the eve of it, Prime Minister Dorin Recean had a meeting with the Azeri leader, Ilham Aliev.
The officials set the next steps for deepening the bilateral strategic partnership.
"We agreed to expand energy and economic cooperation and exchange best practices in the field of agriculture. Also, we decided to organize the next meeting of the Joint Moldovan-Azerbaijani Commission this year, in Chisinau, to create new opportunities in the field of trade, infrastructure and investments", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
We mention that among the first to arrive in our country were the top representatives of the European institutions, such as the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.
The head of European diplomacy Charles Michael, the presidents of Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, as well as the prime ministers of Georgia, Portugal, Belgium, Armenia, Malta, Luxembourg, Iceland, and other officials also arrived in the Republic of Moldova.
The other official delegations will arrive in our country in the early part of June 1.
To date, 47 delegations of participating states have confirmed their presence at the EPC Summit.
The meeting will start at 10:30 and will end around 19:00.
