Searches in penitentiary no. 9, in a file regarding a criminal organization: 11 inmates targeted
The law enforcement officers carried out 13 searches in Penitentiary no. 9 "Pruncul" and in two locations in Chisinau, in a file regarding the creation and management of a criminal organization. 11 inmates are targeted.
The police mention that the detainees are sentenced to prison, for terms between 5 and 15 years, for various crimes (murder, intentional grievous bodily harm, robbery, illegal drug trafficking in particularly large proportions, fraud).
They had the roles of supervisors of several sectors of the penitentiary, including the canteen, the disciplinary isolator, residential blocks, but also in the meeting room and for the conduct of gambling.
At the same time, at the scene, the police and prosecutors found hashish drugs, marijuana and narcotic tablets, mobile phones and accessories for their use, as well as electronic data storage devices and bank cards.
