The concept of creating a specialised anti-corruption court discussed by Maia Sandu, foreign diplomats and civil society

President Maia Sandu today held discussions on the text of the concept paper on the creation of the specialised anti-corruption court. The discussions were attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Chisinau, development partners, representatives of civil society and the media specialised in the fields of justice and anti-corruption.

The Head of State presented the objectives and basic elements of the concept of creating a court specialised in examining cases of grand corruption.

Several suggestions for improving the initiative were made in the discussion.

The consultation process will continue in the coming weeks.

Yesterday, the Presidential Institution announced the elaboration of the Concept on the creation of the specialised anti-corruption court.

The legislative initiative on the anti-corruption court will be submitted to the Moldovan Parliament.
