On Saturday, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, is expected to pay a visit to Bucharest, the official Romanian press agency Agerpres wrote, citing government sources.
Requested by Radio Moldova, the spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, has not yet confirmed this information. Meanwhile, the head of diplomacy from Chisinau, Nicu Popescu, discussed Moldovan-Romanian bilateral relations on the phone with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs from Bucharest, Luminița Odobescu, newly appointed to the new government.
The authorities of the two states are determined to carry out joint projects that will bring benefits to all citizens. Romania will continue to be the main advocate of our country in the process of joining the European Union, Nicu Popescu later commented in a statement from the Ministry.
The new Prime Minister from Bucharest, Marcel Ciolacu, inaugurated yesterday, assured that Romania will continue to support the European path of the Republic of Moldova and will ensure the security and stability of our country. Also, he assured that Romania will maintain its position against the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine and will become a central pillar in the reconstruction process of Ukraine.
