Nicu Popescu: The Republic of Moldova has taken significant steps in fulfilling the recommendations of the European Commission
The Republic of Moldova has taken significant steps in fulfilling the nine recommendations formulated by the European Commission, and today we can mention some of the progress made in the first three key areas: justice reform, improvement of the electoral code and the fight against corruption. The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, at the second edition of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which takes place in London.
According to the official, the other recommendations formulated by the European Commission will be highlighted in the coming days, in order to provide a complete picture of the progress made by the Republic of Moldova during its European journey. The head of diplomacy from Chisinau assured that the pace of reforms will be maintained, and our country will proove its commitment to European values and standards.
We remind that, during the visit, Nicu Popescu has planned meetings with his counterparts from Slovakia, North Macedonia, the Kingdom of Luxembourg and Austria.
Nicu Popescu and Secretary of State Ruslan Bolbocean are participating in the second edition of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which takes place in London on June 21-22.
