Summit for a new global financial pact, hosted in Paris

Paris is hosting, today and tomorrow, the Summit for a new global financial pact, where 100 countries will be represented, 40 of which at the level of heads of state and government, international financial organizations, reprezentatives of the civil society, academia and business.

The French leader proposes a new financial system to support poor countries in the fight against poverty and climate change. 13 political leaders are present in Paris today, including: French President Emmanuel Macron, US President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. All are committed to moving forward with concrete measures towards an ecological, just and united transition.

President Emmanuel Macron believes that the current old international financial architecture from 1944, when the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank were created, needs a deep reform and adaptation to the current times, reports RADOR.
