Director of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, on a visit to Russia

The director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, will visit Russia on Friday, June 23, for discussions about the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is currently under the control of the occupation troops, informs dpa.

A meeting between Rafael Grossi and the head of the Russian atomic energy agency Rosatom, Aleksei Likhachiov, is expected to take place in the Kaliningrad region on the Baltic Sea, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov announced on Thursday. The International Atomic Energy Agency has not yet confirmed the meeting.

Rafael Grossi visited the nuclear power plant in the Zaporozhye region last week after the destruction of the Kahovka dam on the Dnieper. He described the situation there as serious but stable.
