Vladimir Bolea: We plead for closer cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Bilateral relations in the agricultural sector and the implementation of technologies to modernize agricultural businesses in our country, following the Dutch example, were discussed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Vladimir Bolea, with the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Fred Duijn.

"We are impressed by the performance of Dutch farmers. Even though the Netherlands is a small country, it manages to be very efficient in food production, utilizing the products successfully. We are focused on the development and diversification of value chains in the agricultural sector and I am confident that in this chapter we have something to learn from the experience of the Netherlands. We are advocating for closer cooperation between states", said Vladimir Bolea.

The diplomat expressed interest in strengthening connectivity between entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector and creating new bridges between states.

The main challenges that could lead to a significant crisis include the potential interruption of natural gas supplies to the Transnistrian region and the request from Moldovagaz to increase tariffs by more than four lei. At the start of the Cabinet of Ministers' meeting, the Prime Minister assured that, despite these difficulties, the government will work to find solutions to manage the situation.
