According to the source, an air raid alert was declared in Zaporozhye in the city and in the region.

It is home to Europe's largest nuclear power plant, which was captured by the Russians last May after fierce fighting. Ukraine's counter-offensive is currently underway in the Zaporizhzhya region.

On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of planning a "terrorist" attack on the plant, which Moscow denied.

Moreover, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Sergey Lysak, the Russian army bombarded the city of Nikopol last night. As a result of the attack, three private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged, and a 47-year-old man was injured.

Also, the community of Marhaneț, a city in the Dnipropetrovsk region, was subjected to heavy artillery bombardments, and their consequences are still being determined, Serghei Lysak said.
