State institutions have increased the level of mobilisation to ensure security and public order, Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced after the incident at Chisinau International Airport. "A 43-year-old citizen of Tajikistan was denied entry to Moldova for security reasons. Another person - a passenger - was injured and is under medical care. I convey my sincere condolences to the families of the victims. The Government will provide the necessary assistance".
Earlier, President Maia Sandu also sent a message of condolences to the families and relatives of the two people, saying that "today is a sad day for all of us".
