Son of the chief of the Prime Minister's office Dorin Recean fatally injured a person: "I will ensure maximum transparency on this case"
The son of Serghei Diaconu, the head of Prime Minister Dorin Recean's cabinet, has injured a person, who died in hospital as a result of the injuries he received. The incident took place last night in Chisinau, at the entrance to the courtyard of the block where he lives. The information was confirmed by Serghei Diaconu himself.
According to him, his 19-year-old son drove his car over a man who was in a drunken state and lying on the path leading to the courtyard.
"As this is a case of public interest, I would like to mention that I will ensure maximum transparency in this case, we are the ones most interested in the truth being known," Serghei Diaconu wrote on Facebook.
The young man immediately called 112 and asked the authorities for help.
The police confirmed that the accident took place on 16 July and that the man later died of his injuries.
Serghei Diaconu promised full transparency in the case and asked for the public's help in providing any video footage that might help to clarify the tragedy.
