Hearings in the case of the death of the leader of the communists from the Transnistrian region will be organized in the Parliament
Next week, parliamentary hearings will be organized in the case of the death of the leader of the communists from the Transnistrian region, Oleg Horjan. The announcement was made today by the vice-president of the Legislative, Mihai Popșoi.
Mihai Popșoi said that relevant institutions will be invited to the hearings to examine all the circumstances of the case and the measures taken by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.
The Vice-President of the Parliament added that international bodies will be notified to contribute to the elucidation of this case. The General Inspectorate of the Police announced yesterday that the leader of the communists from the Transnistrian region, Oleg Horjan, previously illegally detained by the so-called authorities from Tiraspol, was found shot in his own home in a town near Tiraspol.
The Reintegration Policy Bureau proposed the creation of a neutral commission of inquiry, under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, to travel to the site for an independent investigation into the circumstances of Oleg Horjan's death.
