Evghenia Guțul will be inaugurated tomorrow as the bashkan of UTA Găgăuzia
The inauguration ceremony of the bashkan of Gagauzia will take place tomorrow in Comrat. The candidate of the Şor Political Party, recently declared unconstitutional, Evghenia Guțul, is to take the oath during a festive meeting of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia.
Asked by Radio Moldova to tell us whether or not Prime Minister Dorin Recean will participate in the investiture of the new bashkan, Government spokesman Daniel Vodă declared that "the Prime Minister does not have the participation in the Comrat event on his public agenda."
Asked how the prime minister will collaborate with the Bashkan of Gagauzia, who is also a member of the Government, Daniel Vodă stated that the prime minister will cooperate with the responsible mayors and the authorities who are guided by the interests of the citizens.
We remind you that the elections for the position of mayor of UTA Găgăuzia were held on April 30. In the second round, there were 2 candidates Evghenia Guțul and Grigori Uzun.
The Comrat Court of Appeal validated, on May 22, the results of the elections, confirming the victory of Evghenia Guțul, despite the violations claimed by the law enforcement officers.
