Iurie Rozlovan is the new interim director of Termoelectrica. He was presented a short time ago by the Minister of Energy, Victor Parlicov.
"In the short term, we have to ensure entry into the cold season and preparation for the winter season, to have heat, energy, not sabotage. He worked at Termocom, Termoelectrica, he knows the enterprise, he masters the technical side," Parlicov said.
The new head of Termoelectrica will also have to review the company's purchases and check the sale of assets, the minister added.
"He has a free hand in everything related to the structure, team. We expect that in 2 weeks he will come up with a proposal to modify the company's organisational chart, choose the team with which he wants to move forward and for which he will bear personal responsibility," Victor Parlicov stressed.
For his part, Iurie Rozlovan said that his tasks are clear and the new position is a challenge for him.
"First of all, it is the preparation for the heating season, there is a lot of equipment, all the checks have to be done so that the heat arrives in the most correct way", Iurie Rozlovan specified.
Asked if the buried fuel oil case will be investigated, the new head of Termoelectrica replied: *"of course, we have to see what happened".
The former director general of Termoelectrica, Vasile Leu, has resigned.
On Wednesday, during the government meeting, Prime Minister Dorin Recean asked the Termoelectrica management to resign by the end of this week after the fuel oil scandal. According to the chief executive, the situation is unacceptable. Firstly, said Dorin Recean, the burial of fuel oil is damaging the environment, and secondly, it shows an unprofessional management of Termoelectrica.
