About 1000 trucks transit the Republic of Moldova daily, of which 80% transport Ukrainian grain
Every day, the territory of the Republic of Moldova is transited by about 1000 trucks, of which 80% are loaded with Ukrainian grain, said the international trade expert, Iurie Rija, on the "Parallel 47" show on Radio Moldova. According to him, the trucks stay at the border crossing points for an average of 3-4 days.
"We have over 31 customs control points. According to the data available to me, another 70-80 percent of the transport that passes from Ukraine to the territory of the Republic of Moldova and that leaves the Republic of Moldova on the border with Romania to the ports on the Danube such as Galati, Brăila, including the port of Marea Neagră - Constanța, of all these transports, on average, there are grain trucks. There is again a problem with traffic facilitation at the border, especially with Romania. This influences, every day the driver costs more, it leads to an increase in the price", declared Iurie Rija.
We remind you that on July 17, Russia withdrew from the grain agreement negotiated last year by Turkey and the UN. The agreement allowed Ukraine to export its agricultural products through Black Sea ports. After withdrawing from the grain deal, Russia attacked several Ukrainian ports, in response Kiev announced that Russian ships and ports in the Black Sea had become legitimate targets of the Ukrainian military.
