The agreements include a declaration on the intensification of cooperation to facilitate the transit of Ukrainian goods through Romania, an agreement on the mutual recognition of academic degrees, and an agreement on the opening of a new border crossing point between the two countries.

Ciolacu assured Shmygal that Romania would continue to support Ukraine in exporting its grain to international markets.

"We will remain by Ukraine's side until victory and the restoration of its territorial integrity, and beyond, in the country's reconstruction process," Ciolacu said. "We will focus our efforts on developing the existing capacities and corridors, primarily the Sulina Canal and the Port of Constanța, to reach our ambitious target of doubling the volume of Ukrainian grain transit through Romania."

Shmygal praised the efforts of the Romanian authorities and citizens for their constant support and solidarity since the first days of the war. He also said that he was counting on Romania's support in the process of Ukraine's European accession.

"We greatly appreciate Romania's constructive position on the transit of Ukrainian grain," Shmygal said. "It was important for me to visit Romania personally, a country that has helped us from the first days of the war. Ukraine's strategic course of integration into the EU and NATO remains unchanged. Thank you to our Romanian partners for your support on this path."
