First Moldovan Youth Summit to be held in Chisinau
The Federation of Moldovan Youth in Romania will organise the first edition of the Moldovan Youth Summit in Chisinau from September 1 to 3, 2023. The event, titled "Homesick," is organised in partnership with the National Youth Council of Moldova and the Romanian Youth Council.
The event aims to connect young Moldovans who are studying or living in Romania with young people in Moldova, thus motivating those who have left to return and contribute to the development of Moldova.
"The Moldovan Youth Summit is a pilot edition modelled after the Romanian Youth Summit. We want this event to become a tradition and to bring together annually both young people from Moldova, as well as those who study or live in Romania, the authorities of Moldova, NGOs, and opinion leaders," said Federation of Moldovan Youth in Romania President Cristin Murafa in an interview on Radio Moldova's "Day-to-Day" program.
The summit is expected to host around 100 participants, including 80 young people and 20 representatives of authorities from Moldova and Romania, private companies, NGOs working with young people, and opinion leaders. Panel discussions and workshops will be organised, and the main themes will be: "The role of young people in Moldova's accession to the EU" and "The future of work in Moldova."
