Moldovan government approves plan to improve public procurement

The Moldovan government has approved a plan to improve the country's public procurement system. The plan, which was developed by the Ministry of Finance, aims to make the system more efficient, transparent, and accountable.

The plan's key objectives include: harmonising Moldovan public procurement law with EU acquis communautaire, creating a central database of public procurement data, developing a communication strategy for public procurement. Promoting uniform procurement policies

"The goal of the program is to establish a set of actions to develop a high-performing public procurement system that can deliver value for money in the use of public funds," said Finance Minister Veronica Sirețeanu.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean has ordered that a database of all public procurement data from the past five years be created within two weeks.
